Baby shower gift baskets can make a wonderful gift for a baby shower. If you are the baby shower host or just a close friend or family member of a mother to be spending some time and effort in putting together a baby shower gift basket can be well spent and a very thoughtful idea. There are some ideas below that we use in putting together baskets on a regular basis.

First you will need to select a basket. Keep in mind the size of the basket a s it will determine what types of things you purchase and how many items overall. With a large basket you will want to purchase large bulky items and many of them to fill up the basket. Of course with a smaller basket you can be more selective in what you put in and choose some tiny really fun unique items. Also when selecting a basket you might look for non traditional baby shower gift baskets. To start a gift basket purchase some colorful tissue paper or raffia. This makes a great filler, and base for loading the basket with gift items.

Next you will want to think about the baby's gender and use this to guide color choices. You can also check if the mom to be has a baby shower registry at any of the local stores. This can be an easy route to go. Having a theme can also making picking items much easier. You can choose a theme such as a cartoon character like Winnie the Pooh or you can choose a theme by activity like bath time. Then purchase items that fit within this theme.

You can purchase a baby bathtub instead of a basket and then fill it with a new towel, slippers, a baby robe, small wash clothes, and some fun soaps. Another example might be to make a fun memory trunk. Purchase a small trunk and fill it with keepsake memory type items. Things like a baby footprint kit, a photo album or journal for mom. Anything that can be used to document, record, and remember the baby's first year can make a fun memory trunk or time capsule. You can also fill this with items that were popular the year the baby is to be born. For example a CD collection with the top hits for the year, some newspaper clippings from events or highlights of historical events for the year and so on. This can make a fun memory that as the baby grows can be added too.

One of the most dreaded jobs in redoing a bathroom involves the tile. If it's done correctly, new tile can make the entire bathroom look new, brighter and more in order. If the job is handled poorly, the end result can be a disaster. Redoing the bathroom tile, however, is something that will likely need to be done if a new look is desired.

Redoing the tile in a cartoon theme for a child that's 10 and will soon outgrow such things might not be bright, but creating the look when the baby is 1 and siblings are likely can be a great way to stake out a kids' bathroom as a kids' bathroom.

Bold: There are all kinds of options for bold, trend setting tile designs. From dark colors to imported tiles of special designs these aren't typical in most homes - bathrooms, but they can be more than beautiful. When the tile makes the look, the overall appearance of the room can be fantastic.

Before doing it yourself, make sure the job is fully understood and ample time is staked out for cutting, placing and sealing and grouting tile. It will take patience to make sure everything lines up as it should and some trial and error might come into play, as well.

One of the biggest surefire ways to transform a bathroom's look is to replace the tile. Doing so can be a fun way to get a newer, updated look, but it does require some planning for a picture perfect end result.
